It's cheaper and you can't fuck it up. Improper settings on a clutched diff can give you problems. Helical is better in just about any circumstances, although wheel hop is more likely to explode a helical diff than a clutched or open diff. Wheel hop is bad shit, though. You don't want it regardless of your diff.
