power steering or no power steering?>
>>15908671
That design looks fucking retarded as fuck.
> U-joint on steering
> Sway bar ontop of CV axle
Like wtf man.
Under 2500lbs and it's completely unnecessary
>>15908681
Exactly.
Depends on vehicle.
Try a manual rack in a 4,800 pound truck on 35's...
>>15908679
The fuck you talking about nigger?
>>15908679
>no steering intermediate shaft
you driving a tractor or some shit?
>>15908679
>CV axle
This is how I know you're joking
>>15908679
>>15908679
That "cv axle" is the inner tie rod boot
The u joint allow for tilt steering
light weight and no power steering
>>15908671
no power steering for me
the older cars get light steering above 30 kph anyway
>>15908679
>U joint
two reasons for that and one is packaging
>sway bar on top
that is the normal mounting point
its just that the type you are used to uses drop links
or is a really old kind that doubles as a strut rod
My Alfa doesn't have it and I like it.
Though it entirely depends on the car. I have a fj45 Ute and it doesn't have it and while it can be fun at times it definitely isn't something I'd want to use daily.
Unfortunately, neither car has it right now. Both pumps went out in the same week on my toys. Gotta fix them this week. (65 Cadillac, 87 Cadillac)

Better question:
Actual manual steering rack
OR
Unpowered rack
