Hey h/o/u long time lurker here.

I've finally saved enough to get the Car I want, which is an m3. I've been looking at 2013 models and newer cause I can't wrench too well yet and want less chances of shit going wrong.

Question to you all is what's a fair price for an m3 with less than 30k miles?
Also, is the auto with paddle shifters just a meme or can I still have fun with it?

For reference the one I was looking at is priced around 45k but I'm sure I could talk that down a little more.

45k is what dealers will prob ask in most places. Depends on if it's certified pre owned or just a used M3. also what the dealer is willing to help you with (a warranty would be nice)

just squat down and make sure no obvious bad rust spots. shouldn't be a problem for a TX car, but if it's from out of state it's possible

36-40 for ones in bad shape probably buying private
41-43 for most of the ones you'll find and be able to talk down to at dealer
44-48+ super low miles, CPO, with warranty and shit

obviously older means cheaper, but also more miles

Personally I'd pick the manual. For a car meant to be driven like an M3 especially. Paddle shifters are fun in like a rental or some car you don't care about. I wouldn't buy a fun car auto unless I was handicapped

Not sure how much you got saved up but maybe also look into 1 series coupes, old but clean e36/e46 m3s, and 2 series

I'm pretty sure there are people out there that fix their own bmw. Even the newer models. I'm just not gonna be one of them.
That is why I pay mechanics. I still check their work, and I only use insured mechanics. But I'm just not knowledgeable enough to do all my own repairs yet. I might not ever be.

Pretty much every area of Houston is like that though. You've got the rich next to the poor. Take gessner for example five minutes south of Westheimer you're looking at the barrio near China Town. Five minutes north and there's million dollar homes and the medical area next to the mall
