I'd actually consider it were it not for Jeeps laughable reliability as of late. They Trailhawk Cherokee actually surprised the fuck out of me with it's off roading capacity. I expect this will be at least fairly competent off road.

Grand Cherokees have always been dope. And while they are more focused on highway driving than trails, it is a much better car for 99.99% of the miles that will be driven in Grand Cherokees. And they still are probably the most capable offroad in their class. Grand Cherokee's 4WD is so much better than Tahoes or Explorers.

I'd be willing to bet that a 1st gen Rav4 with the 5spd (rear LSD and true locking center diff) would give one of these modern Jeep crossovers a run for their money (Renegade or this thing). Jeeps have the advantage of modern ABS based traction control, Toyota looks to have some better wheel travel, better clearance, and lighter weight.
