So what's the joke here? I'm in the market and have a saved search for these cars. They're super cheap it seems for a decent used one. I'd be under budget enough I'd have enough for repairs upgrades down the line easy. What's the joke? Something I don't know about these cars?

Go back through and get rid of every one that isn't a 5 speed GT. You get all the guts of a serious ass race car cheap and much less likely to have been flogged by the previous owner the only down side is that they weigh as much more than a Neon as if you had two big dudes in the back and make it three if you can only find the convertible, which is going to be the case as it was mainly bought by "give me the top trim in everything" people. If you DO find a stick gt cruiser that isn't a picnic basket it will have been torn up just as bad as a SRT4. So then you boyrace that around until you crash it then spend your "upgrades" money on a 5 speed neon with a blown engine and drop in your turbo engine.

Part of me would love to donk out a PT Cruiser.
