It does very well, cars pretty heavy for just 200hp
Transmission and axles are really robust, wouldnt have an issue with that power. Might need to do something about the cv joints.

The engines in that one are the same as the early sw20 turbo
The engine that came after, upped the power and materials.
But parts are harder to get because it wasn't sold here, even in the mr2

Only real bad thing about them is trying to find one, so good luck anon.

Might have to get a rhd GT-Four when importable, or pay a small fortune for an alltrac

GREAT daily driver. GF had one for a few years. The sunroof seemed to be an issue and was expensive. Don't get the tan interior it stains like a mother fucker. The diesel was great but a bit rattly (the engine). And the oil check stick tube breaks super easy. I had that problem with my moms and it threw oil EVERYWHERE. But the replacement part wasn't that much and was easy to install. Her interior was good even after 10+ years. Think the AC died once, but I forget. Pretty damn comfy too.

Why are you such a faggot? It's from the fucking matrix. Just because /pol/ says it doesn't mean it's "racist". It just means to enlighten you. I know people who have never even heard of 4chan who say redpill. Hell, even my music teacher says redpill.
Also who fucking gives a shit that it's racist? Where do you think you are? Why do you feel the need to advertise the fact that you were offended by the fact that somebody said something that you perceive as """"racist""""? Does it make you feel wholesome to pretend to care about somebody's word choice even though it has nothing to fucking to do with what you're pretending it does?
I don't get the whole fucking /pol/ Boogeyman meme. Oh no, they say the mean words! Oh no, they don't like some people! Oh no, words on a screen really mean something! I don't even use /pol/ and it pisses me off to see everybody saying shit like "/pol/ is leaking" or shit like that. If you seriously disagree with somebody, why don't you actually say something intelligent instead of just dismissing them because they might use or might just have the same opinion of people on a section of the same fucking site you use?

Can you guys inform me about the Nissan 300ZX twin turbo
>>
>>15882654
A turbo is a great car for building. HOWEVER, they have oil problems and tend to get rod knock. A large moroso pan basically eliminates that problem. They handle pretty well (stock turbo suspension in GOOD shape). You can take a stock turbo/block to over 550whp on e85 with supporting mods. There are TONS of cheap ones running around that will cost you thousands to get into decent shape. People can't afford to maintain them and they turn to shit so they dump them on other people. A GOOD one will run $7-$12k. I work on them every day at my shop. They are good cars, but the engine bay is difficult to work in if you don't know what you are doing. You can put $5k into one and get 500whp, reliably. The interior with suede is actually very nice. Don't waste the money modding an NA. The FASTEST one without nitrous (street legal) was like high 13's 1/4 mile. Basically, cheap ones will be exspensive, and a good one will take money to keep it running nice. But if you can afford it they are awesome. If money is tight, look elsewhere.

>>
>>15882798
TINY car. Handles like a go cart. Slow. Parts are a bit harder to find as it was limited run and it's old as fuck. Supercharged on is good, but still not fast. No room for anything inside. I would buy one as a play around car, don't think I would own one as a daily driver. Pretty reliable, but being that old it's luck of the draw.
>>
>>15882699
Have owned several and surround myself with those who both own and work on them. That's just inaccurate.
>>
>>15882682
>Don't waste the money modding an NA. The FASTEST one without nitrous (street legal) was like high 13's 1/4 mile.

Must not work on them very often. The differing compression ratios of NAs allow for sufficient potential if you're not looking to break 600 hp, and will be cheaper and more reliable in the long run if that's the goal.

Redpill me on this anons. I currently drive a manual tc and I enjoy the car but I'm looking for another car. The Lexus GS300 has an amazing interior in my mind, it's Toyota built, was looking at the AWD part since I live in NYC. It looks extremely comfy, but I'm worried. Is it reliable? My budget is 10k and was wondering if that's a good price point. Most I've seen are under 120k miles. Any obvious things that need to be changed? How much am I looking in general repairs? Should I look at another model/brand for comfy automatic 4door?

2006 Hyundai Azera Limited.

Kind of off topic but the timing chain's been rattling when I turn it on. Would be potentially over 1000 to fix. Bought car for 2200. Put about 300 worth of work into it. Worth fixing or should I just run it till it's gone? My brother put more than 10k into his shitty Ford Ranger over a period of time because he absolutely had to be able to get to work. I don't want to do something similar.
>>
>>15882632
The meme is to really shit on this car and even Russian society has jokes in the newspaper daily about these cars. Here's a joke about em:

What's the difference between a Lada and a golf ball?

You can drive a golf ball 200 metres.

But being in a Lada Niva owned and driven by a friend, it was a really unique car with AWD. It's small oddities and unorthodox design really makes it special. Ease of repair is off the chain since it's such a simple car. Wouldn't be too bad of a car to own for the right price.

Good:
50/50 balance
sporty
lots of aftermarket support
Makes you a part of the RX-7 club/community
Gets attention if taken care of or moded tastefully.
Can possibly get you laid, depends on drivers looks as well.

Bad:
Rotary
Apex seals
Burns oil
2 seater only.
Limited trunk and cabin space.
Engine doesn't like cold environments.
Vacum leaks are a bitch
high maintenance

If you take care of the engine and don't abuse it.
Keeping up with maintanence can help you avoid half of the bad.
The FD3S is considered a part of the 3 JDM Gods (R34, MK4, RX7).

If you leave it NA it DOES NOT. We have turbod several NA blocks. They make a bit more power than low compression to a point. But an NA Z is SHIT. >I mainly wanted an I6 not because of the meme but because i like the accessibility and parts abundance
A) the V8 is just as accessible.
B) parts are more abundant for the V8 these days anyway.

HJs handle like a bag of potatoes. HX and HZ drive marginally better with the radial tuned suspension, so they handle like a 3/4 full bag of potatoes.
Finally, why necessarily "Kingswood"? Save your bucks, and get a Belmont.

In NZ, 32 GTRs are daily driven by a few people, I know of one personally.

Any car enthusiast should know that unless the engine is fundamentally flawed in its reliability, then an engine will run like a dream assuming it hasn't been beaten on too hard or looked after poorly. Regular oil checks and changes will keep a motor running for a long time.

The cost of petrol is insane, as you'd expect. If you thought RB26s were economical you'd be an idiot.

The exterior is the biggest drawback of most 32s here. They get stolen a lot and broken. If you find an unstolen, clean record 32, you're sussed.

Don't listen to everything this guy said. The RX7 burns oil but not as much as a lot of piston cars. The fact that it burns it on purpose is enough to scare most normies away, not knowing that their honda civic or Chevy pickup burns more. Apex seals aren't anything to worry about. You may need to rebuild the engine every 100,000 km-BUT- the rebuild kit is 1000 bucks and you can do it yourself at home, the hardest part will be taking off the intake manifold and turbo shit.

The vacuum system and cooling system will need reworking to be simpler and more reliable, and that's also quite DIY friendly. And my main reason for picking apart the guys lost was that rotaries LOVE abuse, they love to be thrashed on and they need it (obviously within reason, don't go heat sinking the fucking thing all the time but a few red lines every time you drive is actually needed). Don't, however, skimp on oil changes, even a little bit. Shell out 30 bucks every 3000 miles, it's not a big deal and it'll keep those apex seals happy.

What are your thoughts on Hyundai Tiburon gen 1 /o/, although I got rid of it, it was my first car, best affordable thing I could get in this southamerican shithole.

>INB4 fell for the Hyundai/fwd meme
>>
>>15889801
Generally with unibody cars, facelifts only change the fenders, hood, bumper and lights. Some cars require modification to frame braces or bumper supports, but its usually as simple as banging shit out with a hammer.
Your mileage may vary. I dont think many people have tried such a thing with that car, but this is planet earth so im probably wrong. Id check the forums for that car to see if its been done
>>
>>15889801
Sell it and buy the one you want. You'll probably find headlight brackets are different, bumper support etc not to mention how much it will cost
>>
>>15889807
later gen is better looking, if you can get it. They're shitboxes with bad build quality, but parts are cheap and the v6 can get out of its own way. It sounds pretty good too.
The clutches are made of tissuepaper and rubber bands so if you buy a manual make sure it has an upgraded clutch.

I had a 1992 Lexus LS400 I bought back in 2000. I had it till last year when some idiot running from the police lost control of his car and drove up on my driveway and ruined my car.

Up till that point the car was a gem. It is NOT a fast car off the bat. So if you want a car that goes 0-60 in under 4 seconds keep going. But you can get going quite fast and you wouldn't even notice you were going at a high rate of speed.

But you don't feel the road. You don't hear a thing. It was the most comfortable car I ever had.

Important thing for me - lots of room for me and my friends. If I needed to take a nap I could put the seat back and sleep. It was very comfortable.

I was going to have to replace the stereo as I could no longer read what the station was on when my car got destroyed.

If you can get it BUY it. That car will last forever if you take care of it. It is very well built and I miss it so much.

I tried to find another one in my area but there wasn't any. I drive a 99 Lexus GS 300 now. It is a fun car but I would prefer my LS 400.

Do it!

Looks better than the old gen miatas, faster as well.

Sure its not the fastest sports car on the market but it makes up with it by having outstanding handling, good low end torque, and fun factor at any speeds, even slow ones.

To have real fun with other sports cars you have to gun it hard on the pedal, really not ideal if you live in a crowded city.

Also if you do desire more power later on in it their will be a ton of mods because of how massive the miata community is.

Once you test drive you will want to buy the car, thats what happened to me....

>>
>>15883508
Daily driver for 8 years now. The electronics are shit, the windows will fall in, the turbo might go through your exhaust. It's slow and heavy. Drive comfort isn't good and the interior creaks and scrapes easily. Also, for it's size it doesn't really have a lot space for tall, big people. Most OBDII scanners won't work on most of these. Other than that, it has never broken down so much that I couldn't go to wherever I had to. It's reliable, for most part. For me, at least. Oh, the front of it is really low for some reason.

Though recently It's been idling at 1.1k and it revs up to 2k when starting the engine. Hopefully it's the sensors or lines.

Handles better and is lighter than a 4th gen, but 3rd gens are underpowered. 105-145 hp at the crank depending on the engine. Interior is comfy for me at 6'1", good luck fitting anyone in the back seat though. Adequate room in the engine bay, good trunk storage. Good for a daily, not bad for an fwd.

Thinking about buying this
>>
>>15896452

I have no personal experience with this car, but have always loved it.

But damn, something about the looks makes me want to take it out on the intrastate and commit felonies.
>>
>>15896452
I can tell you about this car. The brakes are too small and heat up fast since made for slow regular regals on monte carlos.

It also has HUGE body roll due to subpar sway bars and suspension parts. It also has a bad oil leak problem due to high crank case pressure. So if you get one put a oil tray / tarp or something under your car to catch the mess.

It is a very beautiful car. It is a very fast car. I mean REALLY fast car. You must remember though that this car is about 29 years old.

I wouldn't buy one though. Why? Because you know the previous owner(s) beat the shit out of that car. Perhaps a few neutral drops, some brake stands, donuts and all sorts of things to show off how powerful the car was.

That is why you never ever buy a sports car used. Even one as pretty as a grand national.

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to with 503 but that JGTC Supra used a 3SGTE because it was lighter than a 2JZ and could almost hold the same high horsepower numbers (think about 700hp at the most). Smokey Nagata also used a 3SGTE in his top secret supra back in the day just cause it could be mounted so far back and so low. Very good for weight distribution and power: weight in the supra. Btw I think it was also a Yamaha designed motor that Toyota based it's 2JZ off of as well but I'd need to sauce that claim later. pic somewhat related, I've got an MR2 turbo and the engine is a blast

I recently sold my motorcycles and gear. It is far too dangerous these days to ride a Motorcycle or Scooter or a regular bike for that matter.

What made this great change? Simple. The smart phone.

Look around you. Almost every car the driver has her nose in her smart phone either chatting, skyping, texting or making a blog or taking selfies.

When they are "paying attention" to the road they drive like idiots. They glance expecting a car and don’t see the bike coming. It’s a casual attitude that kills. After making some biker into parts embedded in the side of their car, they are free to go and it’s called an “accident.” Fact is, it’s more like negligent homicide.

No thanks. I’ll not be a victim of sloppy drivers, and especially now with cell phone idiots everywhere ignoring the laws regarding use in vehicles.

If you asked me that before the smart phone I would have told you to go for it and just be careful of the lazy drivers. Today? Not a chance.

You'll never own one becuase the boomers that own them know what they have, and they'll be to far gone to restore after sitting under a tarp for the last 20 years.

Also if you're a shitty driver, you'll end up wrecking it anyways, since the brakes suck compared to newer cars.

Best and most reliable/cheap to own are the 95 and earlier models, main issues being rust, frame sag from PO's over hauling weight, and shitty solenoids.

Models that came Windsor 302 are not always the best choice, the 300 inline 6 is just as powerful and more reliable, and as much or more can be done to get more torque out of them as the 302. So don't simply overlook it if it has the 6cyl.
