Not sure if troll but it's to obscure finer bodylines and details while they drive it around on public roads for final testing. They could use vinyl bras/cowls, but dazzle camo also grabs attention which is free publicity.

Doesn't mean that the car in the photos is the 8 and not the 6. 6 and 5 are usually released together because they are on the same platform, and 5 is almost ready. That's why I think there's a good chance that's a 6. But I could be wrong of course...

I was saying that it sounds like the 6 series will still be around as a sporty-ish coupe, the 8 series will be a heavy 2 door grand tourer built off the 7 series chassis again. Different market niche from the 6 series

They have no reason to put the 6 series into hiatus to make way for the 8 series again, since they're saturating the fuck out of their brand. If there are 6 different X models then of course there will be a 6 series
