I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.8 2wd. Just looking for something to boost my HP that won't break my wallet. I will be putting flow master kit on it soon as well.

Supercharger
Just putting an exhaust on is the least effective way to increase power for money. Its up there with the things you plug in the cigarette lighter
Define "break my wallet". Modding aint cheap if you want it done right. That being said, look at a performance chip/tuner. They are pretty cheap for domestics from what i've seen.

If youre going to get a new engine you might as well go with the 6.0. that engine is a tank

I don't disagree but 5.3s are dirt cheap. OP has stated he's isnt looking to "break his wallet"
