I have an 04 Civic and its body is fucked. Huge scratches, large dents, it just isn't pretty. Only 114k miles on it though, and its mechanically sound.
How can I get the most value out of this thing? Part it out?
Ecoboost it

Yeah basically part it out, sell it on ebay/craigslist. Unless you can jew a dealership into giving you a good trade in.

Sounds like a pain in the ass. The KBB value is $2000, maybe less. Like I said, it runs great but has a lot of cosmetic damage

eBay prices
$700 for engine
$500-600 for transmission
Have buyer pay for shipping costs
All you have to do is take it apart and find shipping
Have it as your daily driver shitbox and keep something nice for weekend driving.

It's a perfectly practical car. just as good as any new shitbox. Just fix it and enjoy it.
Part it out anon. My buddy can sell anything.

Helped him separate the frame from the body.

Fixing it would easily cost more than the car is worth. My driver's side door is smashed, hood and windshield have large scratches from the same collision into a fence, rear end is smashed from when I forgot to set the parking brake and it rolled into a decorative boulder (I was 17), passenger side door has a 2 foot long streak of scratched from a bus... I feel self conscious driving it

Where do you work? If you're a student just don't worry about it.
Buy a cosmetically clean 04 civic (non op is good) and swap everything out

If you're in georgia, I'll buy it. Looking to buy my first car as a wage slave, but need something reliable.

>My driver's side door is smashed
$60 at a pick n pull for a pristine condition door
>hood and windshield have large scratches from the same collision into a fence,
Scratches are nothing. Either way, possibly $30 at a pick n pull if you're lucky.
>rear end is smashed from when I forgot to set the parking brake and it rolled into a decorative boulder
Please leave the vehicle in gear. However, a bumper and trunk will run a pricey figure. At this point you might be able to purchase an entire parts vehicle and come out on top.
>passenger side door has a 2 foot long streak of scratched from a bus
Pick n pull / parts car
>I feel self conscious driving it
Go finance a car out of your budget. That's what the majority of people do when they want a vehicle to impress people with.

>700 for a d17a1
Try 400$
>5 to 6 hundred for transmission
Try 250 for auto 300 for manual
Demolition derby
Rally
Stupid shit
With these three choices, the choices are endless.
>04 civic
>114k miles
it can easily last for another 100k miles
learn how to be more careful so that you don't do the same shit to your next car, faggot

I remember something similar with my brother. It involved three of us trying to get all the parts underneath the car off without laying on the ground.
We tipped it and held it up by a couple 2x4s
Good Times.
