Could Rover be resurrected as a viable marque?
What about Saab?
>>15818394
should it?
>>15818396
Imagine if Saab and Volvo had fused to form a new Swedish powerhouse instead of folding and being bought by Geely respectively.

Name one good car they ever made.
Do you still see Rovers driving around today?Yeah, that's what I thought.
>>15818397
Maybe as a brand underneath Jaguar but above Tata. I'm trying to remember if they had any interesting cars outside of the SD1 that they could base a brand off.

Volvo would run that company though. Saab couldn't run a lemonade stand without losing millions of dollars.

>pls bring it back from death so someone else would buy it and drive it for few years and then sell it to me for a fraction of a price of new corolla.

if you're thinking about selling overpriced soap-shaped crossovers, then the brand you're looking for is MINI. If you're thinking about making money in 2016 on something else than soap shaped crossovers, then you're an idiot.

Koenigsegg wanted to buy Saab.

No. The reputation has gone to shit, and the old cars are still driving around shitting up the roads and rusting.
>>15818397
>should it?
Also no.
They honestly can't compete in the 'regular car' market, between japan, Ford, and Vauxhall.
>>15818494
Why didn't they do it? They could've got the extensive knowledge of aircrafts and then apply it to their hypercars.

don't be daft lad
>>15818512
classic mini too

Saab cars became completely separate from Saab jets a while ago.
Their emblem used to have the name Scania on it while later models didn't. Pretty sure that's the difference. It's when they were bought out by GM.

everything up to the SD1, the 75, later 800's, the 600 was criminally underrated, gave birth to Land Rover, Range Rover, pioneered the jet engine in cars thingy in the sixties
the reason Rover fucked up is because everyone avoided them because for some reason a 2000's car is as reliable as an allegro for some reason to some
