Cyclists are filth, though. Lycra-wearing poofs with a victim complex, no regard for road rules, etc.

At very least they should have to wear those stupid high-vis vests, have sufficient lighting and go through some sort of test to weed out the fuckwits before riding on the road. And maybe pay for rego for good measure. That'd earn them equal standing on the road, and even then they'd still be a nuisance going for half the speed limit in inner city suburbs.

Cyclists need to follow the same rules that apply to vehicles. So many don't signal, blow through red lights and stop signs. They follow rules that will benefit them and ignore the others. For example, whenever I'm sitting at a red light and the walk signal is on, cyclists think it means they can blow through the intersection.
