Ram 1500
Factory takes 5w20 but I'm too lazy to do all the lash adjusters and timing chain adjusters so I'm hoping it reduces clatter on cold startup.

>lash adjusters
Don't those have hydraulic lifters?
>>15804372
It's OHC, basically the same idea though

4.7 and 3.7 are are straight up just noisy valve trains. Sound like they are mechanical flat tappets out of adjustment.
>>15804275
Probably won't help.
Are you sure it is the valve train making the noise and not a small exhaust leak?
Small exhaust leaks seal themselves for the most part once the engine warms up but when the engine is cold let all the normally muffled valve train noise out.

Don't those have hydraulic lifters?

It probably has an exhaust leak, I'll find out if it is better tomorrow though
>>15804411
I got it all at Walmart, they had factory Mopar filters on the shelf even.
