The RX-8 suffered a lot because of environmental regulations all but literally strangling the Renesis. Not enough oil injection, restrictive cats, yadda yadda. Most of the cheap ones are ticking time bombs if not already blown.

General rules of rotaries:
>Be autistic about checking it
>run premix gas
>carry a spare gas can
>keep an eye on temps

Save yourself the trouble in dealing with the RX-8's design-by-committee compromised renesis motor and buy an RX-7 first or second gen.

Just get a frs if you want a slow car that handles.

things to know: burns a quart every 1k miles (top up), rev up to 4k then shut off engine, when you start the car you have to drive it until operating temp to turn off (no short trips), when driving auto/manual have the engine shift at ~4k rpm (keeps seals from going bad due to carbon), if youre not willing to do these things, dont buy it

you decide how much fuel youre going to buy, pour respective amount of 2 stroke oil through funnel into filler neck, then put funnel away and pump fuel normally
