All these northies, Midwesterners, west coast bitches, and foreigners come to Florida and freak the fuck out of everything weather related, and ignore everything that will kill you in what should be called península de la muerte, Caz I don't see no fucking flowers. The big wang of the USA burgerland is filled with surviving dinosaurs, deadly sneks, the most lightning in the world, surviving diseases that have destroyed entire contenents of people (TB, malaria) and people are worried about a rain storm. In the fucking 90's we had a tropical storm every afternoon for years. Fucking babies. Pic related

As a midwesterner I'd just like to say, we're leary of storms because of tornados. We're used to a little bit of rain turning into hail the size of grapefruit, and five mile wide funnels that take about three minutes to do what a cat 5 hurricane does over the course of a week. And we don't get a weeks notice to get out, we get 15 to 20 minutes tops. After losing a few cars, homes, and relatives, you learn to watch the fuck out when the sky turns black.

Meh. I think a lot of people in middle-America are actually pretty numb to severe storms and end up ignoring the warnings. Highways are always packed with cars when a tornado plows through.
