Way more reliable than any Subaru, the only reason they have any reputation of unreliability is because they are beat on harder than any other car. The 4G63 is borderline indestructible, and will take 500+ horsepower with very little modification.

Prepare for an uncomfortable ride and very high insurance rates. People will want to race you, but you'll most likely beat them.

This is more or less it. They have higher service intervals that other cars and require more attention which they generally don't get. This leads to failures.

If they are given the proper attention and correct fluids, they are super reliable. A lot of owners with the 'that'll do' attitude are the ones that cry about them being unreliable.
