It's a great looking car but in some ways it was dated compared to its contemporaries. The interior had more of a late 70's vibe than early 80's the sohc single point injected engine was old fashioned when everyone else had dohc multipoint and the steering was not rack and pinion making the feel notably worse than sporty cars of the time.

The widebody refresh without a more modern engine and interior was a big mistake. Mistubishi could have been part of the rwd turbo golden age of the 90's.

The G54B never came with a 3 valve head, your either thinking of the jet valve head or the Mazda 2.6 head, which is 3 valves
