Are those fucking bullet holes in your windshield?

I think the real question is why is there a shopping cart in his garage?

Get a better engine. But realistically just fix things when they break and change the oil every 3000 miles or so. Also don't buy into the myth that high mileage engines need high mileage oil.

High mileage oil generally just has additives that soak into seals to swell them up, I don't see how that's a bad thing as seals will probably be a bit worn by that point.

Because this is /o/ and everything is a meme. I bet you feel for the steering wheel meme.

But seriously though. Even if you change fluids at every recommended interval (or sooner like many of us) is no indication the motor will last forever.
Hop on forums and see what mileage others have gotten from the motor. My last toyota had 240k on the clock and didn't use a drop of oil, and I've seen Scoobaroos with barely 80k blowing clouds. If it's a good motor, look after it, and it will last.
Rust will be your other main concern on any car over 12 years old. Spray fish oil twice a year everwhere you can get the nozzle.
