>put car into sport mode
>it drives the exact same
What car
>>15655216
2014 jetta 1.8t
>>15655197
>put car into D
car is slow
>step on it, im on the highway now
car is slow
Honda life.
>>15655568
Serves you right for getting an automatic
>>15655197
>put car into sport mode it shifts too violently for normies to be in the car
>put it into supersport mode
>car backfires when not on the gas
>its so violently responsive it makes the trans slip
>police errwhere
>>15655778
not my choice, this is inherited from gramps
>tfw no sport mode
>sport mode just lightens traction control, and holding the button turns it all the way off
How it should be done desu
>>15655219
is sport mode the S gear?
>one button for traction control: on or off
>one button for sport mode, engine goes in full attack mode, and steering gets a bit heavier
>>15655833
>I have no choice, I HAVE to drive this car my grandfather gave me; he is forcing me to use it as a daily driver.
>>15655219
lol
>>15655995
>one button for traction control: on or off
wouldn't you want variable settings? almost all bikes have variable settings, the EBR1190RX has 21 levels of intervention so you can just set it how you like.

I feel your pain. Currently stuck in a 2007 Corolla LE. Such a shitbox. I practically don't fit. Worst part is that it's longer than my mom's wagon and there is no room inside it except a good foot in the front of the engine bay.
>>15656753
>there is no room inside it except a good foot in the front of the engine bay.
>b-but muh five star crash ratings!
fucking soccer moms
>>15655778
>pretending your car is fast by staying in second all the time
>>15656753
I feel your exact pain
>jap commuter
>is cramped and fat to get those safety ratings without actual quality engineering
>>15655992
That stands for "slow", Anon.
>>15655197
where did you get this picture of me?
>no sport mode
>no traction control
>no ABS
>no AC (anymore)
>put car into "sport" mode
>revs to the redline
>faster, unsmoothed throttle response
>put truck into "sport" mode
>truck has no "sport" mode
>make NASCAR noises with my mouth when I work the clutch
>>15655992
yes
now that I think about it, in sport it hangs onto the gears and revs a little higher before switching. in D it's like it always wants to be in 6th gear.
>put car into sport mode
>begins aggressively oversteering and killing children
>>15658123
What exactly is funny? Am I missing something?
>>15655197
Just do the shifting yourself, anon. Sporty as you want it to be.
whats the point of a D3 mode in honda accords?
I assume 1 and 2 are if you are going up some big hill or are stuck? ive used 1 before, but never 2 or D3
>>15658202
this is like asking what is the point of gears 1 through 4
>>15655219
>buying a 2014 1.8 unironically
end yourself
>>15658208
no its not. why would you want to purposely be in 2 or limit it to 3, give me a scenario
>>15658210
It's a good engine
Sport mode is kinda BS on economy cars. The only good "sport" feature in an automatic econobox is sportronic shifting. Atleast you can control when it upshifts with a slapshift
>>15655197
>>15655219
>automatic
>Volkswagen
Found your problem
>>15658202
I used to have a first gen Acura 3.2TL that is basically an accord underneath. I remember reading that D3 would hold the gears to almost redline if you gun it and not go into fourth. Sort of a rudimentary sport mode. That seemed correct when I tried it
>>15655197
>put car into sport mode
>shift to fourth when I'm done
>>15656748
i dont know man, i've never found that i needed anything else than on or off. its a fast car, but i mean it's no V12 fire breathing monster or anything
>>15658323
That's why he said
>2014
To hint that he was judging things other than the engine.
For instance, the millions of other moving parts that will surely grenade themselves before 35kodo
>>15656748
trying to remember what setting its in is the problem
>put in sport mode
>wahhhhhhhhhh
>HOLY FUCK WILL IT EVER SHIFT
>finally.jpg
>let's never do that again
>spark plugs just about swimming in cam tower juices
Pic related, ECT will shift wayyyyy late when lressed
>>15655898
>mfw no manual with sport mode
>>15655219
>>15655197
This is why dual clutches are the best. Go dct or dont auto at all
