What would happen if you used olive oil instead of motor oil

I always wondered this but with Vegitable Glycerine
>>15644462
It wouldn't work for long. It would respond to heat linearly. It'd be too runny when hot and/or too viscous when cold so the engine would die.

your dinner would actually taste ok
>>15644462
Not much it would cost you a lot and it would probably sludge hard in 3-4k but it would run great before it started turning into plastic

That's pretty good

Vegetable oils decompose over time. In a pinch, assuming you could get the right viscosity you could probably use vegetable oil in a car.

I ran an Accord on pure Corn oil for 6 months. Lots of sludge happened it clogged everything
>>15644587
Corn oil has a particularly low smoke point (320F) and a lot of glycose too. When I said "in a pinch" I meant like to get down from a mountaintop and to the nearest store to buy auto oil. I'm surprised it went 6 months desu. If I left corn oil in my fryer for 6 months it would get pretty fucking gross.

I chose corn oil for it's low temp flow properties, it was winter :DDDDDDD
After the oil light started to come on we pulled the pan, reemed out the pick up tube as it was clogged, flushed the oil a couple times and then sold it. No one would ever guess!
