Are these things total garbage? I want a truck and If I can get one of these for 5k I dont see why not, the beds the only real issue I have since I want to load up dirt bikes in the back and dont think a 4ft 3in bed will be very good for that.

I have one, you can leave the bed open. Dirt bikes will be no problem.
As for reliability, if you treat it well it's fairly reliable. Mine has about 250k miles and I've suffered no major problems.
