I just bought a 1984 K10 with a 350

I want to turn this into a muscle truck, but I'm not sure where to start with getting more power. Motor was just rebuilt and bored 30, but otherwise everything is stock.

Where would you start when it comes to power? Budget right now is a few hundred dollars.

Pic related, it's me working on the power windows.

Thanks guys

Cams rollers lifters etc.
>>
Cut your goddamn fingernails.

Stock 350? Sorry anon but your SOL on that front. Better stalk around some junkyards for some 402's or 427's if you want a real muscle truck. Those old 350's made jack shit for power

Roger, thanks for the info. I live near several junk yards. What vehicles could i find those engines in? I did a quick google search but i figured I'd ask too.

Suck my balls

Silverados might have the larger displacement motors your looking for, same with the 60's/70's landbarges. Maybe a Z28 camaro if you're really lucky.
Worst case get a crate motor LSX. Reliable power for the money

Ecoboost swap
>>
>>15639975
This

>>15639977
Don't be thinking an engine swap is cheap or easy. It's not even if you're swapping the same motor. An LS1 into a 40 year old car? Forget about it.

Get a cam and intake, have your heads ported.
>>
>>15640080
Never said cheap or easy, although in trucks it is far easier than cars.
>>
>>15640088
Yeah but you casually suggested it like it's even a possibility for OP. I hate the way /o/ just suggests engine swaps all the time. It's fucking difficult and expensive even if you're a mechanic and it's not a realistic option for Joe Schmo
>>
>>15640106
junkyard swaps between comparable vehicles isn't exactly the same as some LS1 miata swap bull that /o/ loves bringing up. OP shouldn't rule out a swap if he has the resources, as displacement is a huge factor for any fun in a truck
>>
>>15639977
What about a 400 or a 383 stroker?
>>
>>15639952
>not sure where to start getting power out of a 350 Chev

Well anon, there have only been about a million articles written about this very thing over the years, everything from basic mods to wild drag motors. It's hardly difficult to find info on a 350, you could literally ask some cunt on the street corner and he could tell you.
>>
>>15639952
Well maybe give some info you nigger, is it a stock fucking intake and carb and just fresh internals on the motor? Does it have manifolds or headers?

Assuming stock everything, it's pretty goddamn simple and you're a bit pathetic for not googling the fifty nigzillion articles about smallblock chevys.

Joe Blow tier mechanic
>600-650CFM 4 barrel carb no you don't need a fucking double pumper 750, stock 350 can hardly flow into the 500's
>Dual plane intake
>Long tube headers

You're looking at around $500 for headers, exhaust, mufflers right there, that's brand-new brand-name Hooker stuff, easy power gains and noise.

600-650CFM -NEW- Edelbrock carb, $250-300, matching intake $150
Got real money and knowledge, time, tools?

>cam, lifters, and above stated carb, intake, headers

Even more time, knowledge and money?

383 stroker, go full big-block, or the easiest and better route, fucking LS1/LS3 iron block from a junkyard truck, matching trans, ecu, fuel pump, assorted parts needed for running motor.

Seriously, 4chan isn't the best place for this advice, as most of the niggers here have bus passes anyways, most of the rest are afraid of carbs. There's countless articles, sources, websites, forums, videos on just 350's alone, not to mention the 73-87 series squares.
>>
>>15640106
If there isn't custom fab involved its pretty easy dude..
>>15639952
>bored 30
That's a thick block
>>
Pull an lm7 or any vortech 5.3/5.7 from a newer silverado for 2-400$
Once the motor is running in the truck and the swap is completed, piece together a big single turbo kit for under 1500$ and get the fucker tuned for 450-500hp. If its tuned properly then the motor will last many years to come and there are plenty more in the junkyard if anything goes wrong. Shouldnt spend more than 3-4k on the whole project.
