Will road going 2-strokes ever make a comeback?
Does anyone on /o/ have experience with 2-strokes?
2 stroke cars, like the Saak 93?

Not with any current western government in place.
>>15625916
Probably not. They're really fucking dirty and bad for the environment.
i have 2
they're both 40 years old and broken
i love them so much

EPA killed 2 Stroke transport engines
anyone know what happened to this?

I have a two-stroke dirt bike
Its loud, smokes a ton, and cranky to start when cold. Defiantly wouldn't be the best road going vehicle
>>15626046
my 2 strokes cold start better than all of my 4 strokes
>>15626046
The cold start issue isn't because it's a two smoke.

I had a two stroke bike once. They're good for learning basic mechanics, since they can be taken apart entirely with no prior experience.
I'll miss the power band of that thing, when you pull the throttle, nothing happens for a while and then the power smacks your face outta nowhere.
2 strokes all day famalam pic related is mine. I read about 2 strokes making a comeback it was about a new type of oil that makes close to no pollution. Really loud, needs a rebuild every season but when you see a 70cc scooter doing 140kmh its fucking impressive

Even if that worked what about expansion chambers
>>15626141
Good for learning if you just change parts but when you get to porting and carb tuning its on another level.

>not even an Italjet Dragster

That's a four stroke though.
The reason Sochiro and his boys made a six cylinder 250cc GP bike (and every other ridiculous and amazing bike they made in that era) in the first place was because they didn't want to go two-stroke like everyone else did.

Those things are ugly af and handle like shit. There was some old dude riding a dragster at the garages, all he did was tell everyone how great the front suspension is.
The 100cc dragster has 2 cylinders though. Imagine if it was possible to cram in 2 racing cylinders? Over 30hp easily

I have a couple of 2 strokes. An RGV250 that i still take out for a couple of night rides a month, and an rg250 gamma that sadly is in a state of disassembly that I don't have time to rectify.
Love them. The smell, the noise...

i own the faster, kawasaki kr1-s.
.. but its got a blown engine, kek.
pic is the last proper road 2-stroke.
it sent the company under.
>bimota v-due 500cc twin

fucking pic didn't load.
>>15629727
Fucking nice. What do you mean with blown engine? Changing a head gasket is easy af.
>>15629824
Probably needs a rebuild as well.
