Red pill/tell me unknown quirks/what do I need to know before buying one of these. Looking at post-facelift cars around $7,000.
i am NOT a fan of the rear suspension design.
imo the seats are really nice. better than c5 seats.
and i dislike the lt1. it can make good power but it very trucklike. not really a rev happy engine like the ls1. not a sporty feeling

How about the L89 or LT4?
>>15612597
lt4 is a good motor but uncommon.
l89 is a big block.
427 435hp
badass cars with the l89
>>15612597
You probably mean L98, is really a truck engine. Loads of bottom end torque but runs our of breath beyond 4800rpm. L98 TPI is not good for making power.
The LT1 is fine and if you can get one for a good price then go for it. It has decent potential. LT4 is just a modded LT1. It's the best engine you could get in a C4 other than the LT5.

>LT5
Don't make me drool. Those fuckers still run 20k.

This should be classified as porn.
The C4 now is more a GT car than a performance car, so any V8 should do, even for a more aggressive ride around the countryside roads and they'll all sound nice while doing so. It'll cost you atleast 10K to turn it in a track car/time attack car, and that's just simple suspension/brake mods, not even talking about the engine.

Thanks, my boss just looked over my shoulder and I got fired.

>The C4 now is more a GT car than a performance car
No it isn't. GT cars have to have a big trunk, useable back seats, and a focus on luxury over performance.

Good. You deserve it.

320L of luggage space is plenty. Obviously not somethings to haul your entire possession, but plenty for 2 suitcases with clothes for a week, unless you're the sort of American that has to take a 20 pounds block of chedar cheese with them everywhere he goes.

what does a stroker lt5 sound like? is it pretty mean?
>>15612918
>LT5
>stroker
pick one.
C4 is best looking vette

nerp
>>15612918
The entire point of the LT5 was to rev fast. stroking an engine completely destroys that because the crankshaft has a longer stroke. All fast revving engines you find will have a big bore and a small stroke. So a stroker in an LT5 is completely pointless.
The SBC 302 was known for revving high as well. It would be like sticking a 350 crank in a 302 (which makes a 350 since the 302 uses the same block), then bitching about why it won't rev as high.

Sorry brah, C5 just doesn't do it for me. C4 is best.
>>15614347
Your opinion is wrong

Or is it?
