does it do a good burnout?
>>15608010
Unfortunately I don't have it any more. With the turbo coupe rear end (went from 2.73 rear gear to 3.55) I put into it it could go pretty well for what it was, but it still had the slushbox AOD in it. It could do a ok burnout but I really didn't beat on it.

>less than 1900 of my model on the road today that had this engine

Age looks to be somewhere in the late 2000s
Engine bay is smaller than the Megane and possibly too small to be a Clio.
Whats smaller than a Clio? Without using google I have no fucking idea.
But thats my guess. A 2008 Renault thats smaller than the Clio.
>>15608280
You're right with late 2000s, but it's newer than 2008
Also, they did actually put this engine in something smaller than a Clio

Well the TU engine was used in plenty of cars, including the Peugeot 107. This one in particular is a Citroen AX.
>>15608290
I've given up.
>>15608196
A couple of hints for this one.
The engine was designed in the 60's and is still manufactured today.
It was used in Cars, Vans, Trucks, Jeeps, 4x4s, Tractors, Forklifts, Military Vehicles, and also dozens of Industrial/Marine applications.
Used in cars from in Portugal, England, Romania, Netherlands, France, Germany, India, and USSR among others.
It has no timing chains or belts and can run for a million miles.

I can never figure out the differences between them, apart from the sohc and dohc ones obviously. I'm also cheating as I have to work in this stuff everyday. Those rocker covers are the bane of my existence.
>>15609535
if you didn't google it, you're not cheating.

Nope the vin tag on the firewall looked like Benz. With it being black and white I figured it was something from the 30's-40's. The engine bay looked of a racing car. So I wikied Benz grand prix racing cars and then looked for the engine. I did some detective work but if you think that is cheating, OK I'm guilty

>>15609489

>>15609653
I think I can explain the setup, please correct me if i'm wrong. The snorkle running above the battery to the fender is the normal snorkel for the 2.2/2.5 and has the PCM in it. The airflow cools the PCM. The other goes into the intercooler. So instead reinventing the wheel and repositioning the PCM Chrysler just did what you see. It seemed to work.

Sunbird never got the Quad 4.
It's either a:
Buick Skylark
Pontiac Grand Am
Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais
Oldsmobile Achieva
Chevrolet Cavalier (1995 only. 1996 switched to a 2.4L version and dropped the Quad 4 name. It was instead called the "2.4L Twin Cam")
Pontiac Sunfire (1995 only. 1996 switched to a 2.4L version and dropped the Quad 4 name. It was instead called the "2.4L Twin Cam")
Chevrolet Beretta
There were other cars to get the Quad 4, but not with the intake manifold in OP's pic. Pic related. There were 3 intake manifold styled. 1 like pic related, one like OP's, and another log-style like OP's but was port matched to the head. Those ones were on the High Output and W41 variants.

We'll know later today hopefully.
Last night curiosity got the better of me, so I cheated and reverse googled the photo to find out what the engine is.
