thinking of picking up this Nazi-mobile tomorrow, now before you bully me for not getting a GTI or R, 279k viking bux is 32900 USD, a GTI or R would cost a fortune and the insurance would bankrupt me

Kill yourself europoor

TSI's are pretty nice, but I don't feel like the 1.4 gives enough for such a large car. Pretty easy to work on though, with a few exceptions. And it's a very comfortable ride.
t. VAG mechanic.

yeah i know the engine isn't exactly a beast, but hey, atleast it's not a 105bhp or whatever the bottom tier is these days
i'd love to get a GTI mk7 but the prices are completely insane so 1.4 TSI it is
it's manual though, so should still get some fun out of it

Are the new TSIs and DSGs such cancer and aids as they were(and still are, until proven otherwise)? Timingchain goes derp and shits the engine-stuff?
>>15589881
actually a focus/b-max/fiesta might be good for you
>>15589971
I'm still getting timing chains weekly, but I believe there was an upgrade rolled out for them some time ago. I have yet to see if this upgrade has fixed the unreliability issues or not though.
the DGS boxes are fairly reliable I think. I can't remember the last time I got one that needed changing due to a fault with the box, however the control unit sometimes kills itself. But in general they feel pretty sturdy. They don't come in very often.

Twingo.
>>15589959
Yeah. The car will be decent also I think, considering it's Norway. Not much opportunity to press it to the limit unless you go abroad anyway.

socialism really worked for you, doesn't it ?
and for quality of materials and such vw pretty good, but reliability is above average i think.
It's the only no bullshit design in this segment.
Go for it, at worst you sell it before warranty wore out.
