putting coolant in car and see this. how fucked am I? (3800 v6 Buick engine)
Might be a blown head gasket.

o shit lmao cooling system rebuild
Flush it and check again, if it comes back you're fucked son
>>15586711
Could also be warped upper intake manifold if its a plastic one.
you don't put cocoa powder in your cooling system anon
at least I know it's oil now. gotta get it serviced soon so I'll ask what's going on then. cheers boys

>>15586711
Is that a dipstick for coolants?
>>15586711
buy a new car haha.
3800s just do that. Gm engineering at work. Don't use dex cool, just use normal coolant.
just ls swap the cunt!
>>15586716
No.
Common issue on the 3.8s, it's the intake manifold gaskets gone.
>>15586711
Also that technically isn't the buick v6, it's the ecotec
>>15586723
How does one flush it
>>15587721
You fucking don't, you replace the inlet manifold gaskets, then flush it. Either get the radiator shop or mechanic to do it, or buy a radiator flusher.
>>15587721
I'll bite to a question that should be answered with google.
There's a silcock on the bottom of the radiator, open it to drain the old coolant
Once old coolant is drain, refill with clean water, run car for 10 minutes with heater on.
Drain again.
Do that 1 more time with clean water
Drain, water should look "cleanish" and at this point you can see if there's oil in the water.
Refill with appropriate coolant
Sell car.
Had this happen to my old VT, get the LIM gasket checked.
>>15587762
How would oil get in there
>>15587814
Through a bad gasket
