Which FWD and AWD cars should have RWD?
Third Gen Acura TL. Fucking Honda engineers and their need for fwd
making a civic RWD would be ruining it
>weight
>interior space
Honda CRX of course.
>>15577263
They'd have to build a whole new platform for RWD, and all their chassis are built for FWD. Acura and Honda's sporty cars like the Integra are just suped up economy cars.
>>15577278
This guy gets it
>>15577297
The S2000 was RWD
>>15577236
V6 Accord Coupe. Literally perfect except for lol fwd
>>15577308
True, but they had to develop an entire new platform for it, which was only used for one car (the S2000), so it's ultimately easier and more profitable to just build off existing FWD platforms.
>>15577236
2006 / 2007 Chevy MonteCarlo. These were FWD, and should have been RWD.
this thread is so dumb and i hope all you dumb kids get in accidents
>>15577236
Honda Prelude and Acura Integra
I'm sure Cadillac is trying to forget that era where they went FWD with most of the platform

>>15577415
literal autism
>>15577320
Multiple posts in this thread suggest it would be profitable to have made a RWD platform
>>15577326
Pretty much this. Who the fuck thought a FWD LS4 was a good idea?
bt20v with toyota altezza/is300 sourced rear suspension/drivetrain and a 6 speed az6 transmission or some sort of stronger t50
enjoy your late 90s ae86
>>15577453
forgot pic
I wish my scion tc was rwd.
>>15577236
Ford Probe maybe...they should have changed the name too.
That would be great if Ford Europe make a RWD car that is not a Mustang. A new Capri. But there are already several sporty cars in their lineup.
>>15577426
Fwd has never won lemans
Toyota celica, would of been a whole different car
>>15578229
Nope
>>15578229
Oh god that's schmexy...
>>15578471
Another thought, if they redid the Celica GT using an updated version of that sucker, maybe with an available boosted 6 and R/AWD you can bet your ass that sucker would sell. I know I'd sell a testicle for one.
>>15577236
you could argue that every fwd vehicle could be made better with rwd or awd
I had a dream my car was rwd and was shitting on bmw m3s
but alas forever cucked to fwd
>>15578638
Wow I use to think you were cool
Filtered
>>15578652
i mean i dont actually have a problem with fwd
but im aware of the fact my car would be better with rwd
specially with the amount of power it produces
>>15578496
It should have been AWD with the 2ZZ and TRD supercharger found in the Exige S.
This gen Cavalier Z24
Should've had the Camaro V8 and been RWD
The LH line of Chrysler( Intrepid, LHS, New Yorker, Concorde, 300M) should have been. The engines face the front of the cars anyway and it couldn't have made them any worse pains in the ass to work on or own as they already were.
>>15577236
Tiberion
Kia Forte koup
Kia optima
TC
>>15578741
The Tiburon, with a better motor and RWD would have push korea ahead to what they currently are
3000GT/GTO/Stealth
all that space crowded under the hood because hurr transverse V6. If it weren't a fucking DSM it would have been sweet
>>15578657
Nope
RWD does not instantly make a car better. The only people who actually believe this are manchildren with no grasp of handling dynamics or chassis tuning, and who suck so much at driving that the only way they can enjoy a car is to plant their right foot and make the back swing around.
If your only argument against non-RWD cars is that you can't drift with them, then you have no credibility whatsoever to pass judgement on how a car should have been designed.
>>15578762
>Turbo RWD Tiburon
We can only pray
>>15578865
>RWD does not instantly make a car better.
No shit. The point is that some cars are worthless by being not RWD. Like the Hyundai Tiburon, or Honda Civic del Sol. An uncomfortably small and impractical car designed to be sporty, why make it FWD? FWD has its advantages, sure, for mostly economically friendly reasons, all of which are thrown out the window in a sports coupe.
>>15577373
>>15577419
The Prelude was already one of the best-handling cars at the time. It doesn't need to be changed.
>>15577236
Should've been FR;
>AE92, 111
>Toyota Sera
>Mazda MX-3 and 6
>Nissan (s)EXA
>>15578229
That should've had an AWD "GT-Four" trim.
>>15578638
>you could argue that every fwd vehicle could be made better with rwd or awd
Aside from commuters. Some companies (Honda mostly, Toyota and Mitsu dabbled in performance-oriented FF, European manufacturers) have a way of making FF work, but this is more suited for lightweight hatches.

tfw no gze powered rwd irs corolla
>>15577236
i wanna see an RWD SRT4
this would be a dream to drive if it was rwd
Shoulda been RWD and called a Corolla GTS, equipped with a high revving 2.0.
