I first was thinking motorcycle due to the inherent "we don't need roads" idea behind supermotos, but you are so incredibly limited on cargo and range.

Chrysler Turbine car
Runs on any fuel from gasoline, whiskey, to perfume. It the from Chrysler's and possibly America's greatest engineering time frame.

It seems cliché, but it would be a 4x4 SUV, with some sort of bed and coocking supplies.

America has never really recovered from the 70's and is a shadow of its former self when you look at the dominance and superiority of American cars, going to shit as they only make pigfat shitboxes and badge-engineered econoboxes now.

50's chrysler represents what america could have been if it din;t become shit. At one point in time, American cars really were just as good or better than the European ones. But never again.

Honestly it fucking sucks that America hasn't made anywhere near the best cars in the world since the 60's. Italians killed it in the 70's, Germans in the 80's, Japs in the 90's, but everything has been boring as hell since the turn of the century too. GM and Ford have been getting better lately, especially with fun cars, but I still have no fucking hope in the world for GM being a good company despite all the plans they have for Cadillac and their mid-engined Corvette.
