Why can't they make a camaro that isn't just a giant bloated circlejerk over the first gen that wasn't very good in the first place? I want an all new design that's not just rehashing the same shitty caricature of a first gen over and over.

We could have had so much more, but like nissan, they killed their small 2 door FR concept in favor of more shitty crossovers and bloated "performance" cars.

A third gen (with the same power) will run circles around a first gen, yet everyone and their dog creams themselves over the first and shits all over the third relentlessly. I just don't get it. You can buy an immaculate third gen and LS swap it for a tenth of the price of the same condition SS 396, and destroy it both in straight lines and on a real track.

That's an 82 Z28, the IROC-Z didn't come out until 1985. It's basically the same thing but without the wonderbar. A sport coupe even with the F41 suspension upgrade doesn't handle as well as the Z28 either, nor do they look as cool. Sport coupes had no ground effects, no stripes, a plain hood, and the 3 slot bumper cover, as well as less chassis bracing than the Z28.
