If I'm reading the story correctly, it slowed from 55 to 25, so if a car hits me that was going 70, he's at fault for speeding, for failing to reduce speed, and for failing to see a car pulling into the road. I hit the gas and finish merging into the center lane and the truck moves over to the left lane. Couldn't see if the driver was raging or what, my car was too low and his truck too high.

Driving home with my mother after visiting family. Slowly overtaking because I was driving my truck and it's slow as shit. Now I was taught you don't move back into the right lane until you can see both headlights of the vehicle you passed in your rearview mirror. Anyway, while I was overtaking this other vehicle I saw two guys on some sporty bike get up nice and close to my ass. Since I'm in the process of overtaking someone they can wait the extra 5 secs for me to get clear. I see the other vehicles headlights, signal, and start moving into the right lane. While doing that I take a look at the bikers in case they do something stupid. Which they did. They tried to zip around my right side to pass me as soon as they had room, however since I was already moving to the right, they had to get back into the left lane to pass me. Cue bikers getting all pissy, flipping the bird, undoubtedly screaming stupid shit. Mom comments that they are retarded for not wearing boots, I chuckle and we continue on home.

I'd think it depends on the state. In Georgia, it is specifically legal for the car closest to the left curb of a one-way road to turn left into the leftmost lane (left curb lane) of a one-way road at a red light after stopping and yielding. Any other lanes can't turn left until the signal is green.
