I just recently started driving (and filling up) my own car and I think I fucked up and put e10 in the tank (only half-filled it).
The pump said 94 octane and I saw nothing about ethanol on there and my car can take 90 or higher, but the receipt says I put in e10.
I live in NSW, Australia and I don't understand the octane rating system (I hear it is different in aus), can someone explain to me how/if I fucked up here and how to not do it again?
what car do you drive?

I'm pretty sure that only E10 has ethanol in it.

Almost all regular petrol already has 5% Ethanol (E5, then).

>he puts premium in his outback

>All pumps dispensing ethanol blend petrol must clearly display one of the following:
>the words 'Contains up to x% ethanol' (wherexis no less than the percentage of ethanol in the petrol);
>or the words 'Contains y% ethanol' (whereyis the percentage of ethanol in the petrol).

I've never seen signs that say the fuel is mixed with ethanol.

This. Only a few stations near me have those other ethanol blends (aside from E10 which is everywhere) and it's always cleared signed on the pumps that there is some percentage of ethanol in it.
What's wrong with E10?
