Is a Jeep YJ a reasonably practical daily driver?

Neither of these are YJs
>>15482373
cons:
handles like shit
slow as shit
cant stop worth shit
terrible gas mileage
pros:
fuck curbs and pot holes and shit
drive over boxes and shit on the road
its ok. would be nicer if you have a car to juggle DD duty with so you don't have to always drive around something that drives like shit
t. - guy who has to DD a gas guzzling lifted truck that drives like utter shit

As someone who DD'd something with 8+ inches of ground clearance for three years, being able to say "fuck curbs" is amazingly liberating.
Handling issues only really materialize on the highway (and holy shit they will) so if you aren't going there too often and you have stock ride height and wheel size you're fine. Also being fucked in the butt by gas prices. But if you're willing to deal with these things go for it, YJs are fun.

Little sister just bought a YJ 2 days ago for a DD

Only if you 2JZ swap it

The leaf-springs and solid front and rear axles make the handling absolute shit, but it's not terrible (the TJ fixed that problem with independent front suspension). Plus you can't go wrong with 4x4. Overall not a bad car for DD

i got hit by some faggot driving one of these. if you get one be careful because you can fucking kill someone driving a newer shitbox with crumple zones

You're obviously clueless.
Anyway, they're garbage like all Jeeps, OP.

>le HEEP meme again
They drive like small trucks because they're built like small trucks, surprise surprise
jeeps are literally one of the least practical vehicles out there
but i love them

They're poor ride quality is not what was being referenced by "they're garbage", nor is it excused.
If you live in a swamp and your name is Shrek, yes.

Sounds about right.

DD'd a JK for several years. It's loud, so much wind noise, bad fuel economy, freezing in the winter, slow, not great at handling, etc. etc. and the YJ will only be worse.
That being said, I miss it everyday and wish I could have kept it as a side vehicle for fun.
