was visiting RSA and they manufactured the MK1 until 2004 and called it the CITI GOLF. Being one of the most affordable cars in the country, they were everywhere and I fell in love.

I always have a soft spot for cars that got built for a really unusual extended time span in which they got pretty much perfected.

I wish more cars would be in production for 2 decades but it's getting common that new models of cars get shat out every 4 years.
