>lose front license plate because fuckstick stealership took it off during an oilchange
>never pulled over (for the missing plate anyway)
>buy hide-away front bracket that folds over 20 MPH and doesn't fuck up the bumper paint
>pulled over
at least the bolisman just gave a written warning instead of a ticket, but fugg.
>>15473573
Wait, it folds over automatically if you do over 20mph?
>>15473573
Deliberately attempting to pervert the cause of justice. You got off very light.

Yeh, it's just a hinged ABS bracket, I guess they positioned the fulcrum so that air flow keeps it folded up. I never saw it work myself because driving but it must've worked well enough for the cop to notice at least
>>15473629
>still have rear plate
>muh air flow
I have a damn lime green challenger that screams pull me over and I've never gotten a ticket for not having a front licence plate
>>15473832
I assume not having a front plate in a front plate state is actually less suspicious than trying to obscure your front plate.
>>15473629
>the cause of justice
You mean generating revenue for the local government.
>california
>front plate state
>more cars don't have it than do
>police don't give a fuck
Yea I'd say the cop noticed that you literally had a mechanism that hides your license plate. Let off lightly cause its your front plate and nobody cares. I'd just take it off entirely if I were you
>>15473884
Ive noticed this too. Back a while ago I was considering taking it off and decided to pay attention to how common it was and the likelihood of getting pulled over for it.
Maybe sub 50% have it. How is it still mandatory when nobody cares?
>>15473573
>truck didn't come with rear plate
>truck also was missing panels including front bumper
>bumper is expensive
>attach pvc pipe to front end, attach front plate to rear
>idgaf
Haven't hade any trouble yet
>>15473573
that is some toyota 90's rallying and cheating shit right here mate, i love it
>lived in Florida, have no mounting brackets
>move to Texas, need front plate
>end up sticking plate on dashboard propped up with a magnet
>cops never had an issue with it
>>15473883
Not their fault that Murrifats are allergic to paying enough taxes to actually maintain their public services.

We pay plenty, but most of the money goes into military and social security.
Nearly half my money goes to the government each year.

Enjoy getting your head sliced off on a survivable wreck

The plate is held in by a strong magnet and is on the passenger side.
