These days I hear a lot about how the new WRX sedan is a beast and has an amazing engine that is in fact better than the current STI.

Does that hold true for these 2011-2014 hatches, or do those have a different engine than the new wrx sedan? Basically, "Would it be worth it to buy an STI hatchback from 2011-2014, or should I just stick with the base model?"
