Is it true that Bmw Cars are better with a automatic transmission?
If by better you mean at failing all the time, yes.
>>15442507
Then why did they stop making them with Manual transmissions?
No. The automatics aren't as reliable as the manuals. On top of that, they just aren't very good automatics.
I don't know about the new ones, they're probably fine. Still not reliable though, because post E46 BMW is shit

Nobody to blame but yourself

What's wrong with them? they have 10/10 aesthetic
>>15442525
because more $$$ for dealerships and repair shops.
New BMW shifters are sloppy. You can get better from spending 20k or a Mazda, Mitsu, Honda, Ferd, or Chebby.
>>15442670
it's really is surprising how bad bmw shifters are.
always feel like you're shifting a wooden spoon connected to a sponge.
this is terrible bait
please leave
t. someone with a steptronic bmw

>then why did they stop making them with Manual transmissions?
every car BMW makes that's not marketed to soccer moms (2 series gran tourer, X series, maybe some lower displacement models in the US?) or snobby businessmen (7 series) is offered with a manual transmission.

you should tell that to my E46 M3, the thing is notchy as fuck. It feels like a gated shifter.
and my E39 530i felt like it was gliding on butter, but it had fresh shifter pins so that probably made a difference

post E30* BMW
>>15444515
>E46
>E39
We're talking about new BMWs, not good BMWs
>>15442502
Who the fuck told you that?
There's a reason used Manual BMW's command a significant cost over autos.
>>15442525
Luxury and super cars are for people looking to show off, so manual transmissions are not popular in the market.
