My car is pretty new, only had it a year and a half. 23k miles. Today I noticed a really high pitched squeaking/buzzing sound. I thought one of my speakers was messed up but I found out my AC was making the noise. Whenever I switch it to the top/feet setting the sound goes away, but when I switch it back to where just the upper vents are on the sound starts again. Anyone know what this sound is?
Yes I googled it and couldn't get a definitive answer, figured I'd come here.

Just went out to my car to find exactly where it was coming from. There's a thing near your feet on the passenger side. I don't know shit about AC in cars so I'm not sure what it is

Yeah. I just just there for an oil change and tire rotation like a week ago. But I guess I have to go back again. Sheeeeeeit
