Why don't you own an EV, /o/?
>>
>>15437773
I wouldn't spend the money on one

If someone gave me one I'd drive the piss out of it
>>
too afraid of running out of battery. i drive a lot and dont want to be stranded because i'm driving a cuckmobile

unless it was an i8. in fact i think i'll just start saving for an i8
>>
>>15437773
Model 3 looks like a baby Panamera.
>>
requirements
>under 3700lbs
>200 mile range
>0-60 in under 5 seconds
>rapid charge capable (0-80% in 30 minutes)
at that point i'll run out of excuses
>>
>>15437773
I don't own one, but do Volts count?
>>
>>15438488
You're welcome
>>
>>15438610
not under 5 seconds and not under 3700lbs, it is close though
>>
>>15437894
a little bit but much better looking
>>
>>15437894
Haha that was cute.
>>
>>15437819

I think gas powered cars are far more cuck-status. :)

1: Forced to use gas stations
2: Non-linear power delivery
3: Large lump of steel under hood is a safety detriment, not a safety benefit

>>15437894

It looks nice.

>>15438520

Yes. Volts are EVs too.
>>
>>15438520

Also, do you have a picture of it?
>>
>>15437773
The investment up front takes literally decades to repay over a used gas car
>>
>>15441605
>likes dohc
>favors evs

Fag
>>
>>15437773
I'm too poor to afford even the cheap 10k ones coming off lease because I drive a $800 geo metro.
Once the battery technology advances over the next 10 years I'll be in a better place to buy in and I will.
>>
Hydrogen fuel cell cars when?
>>
>>15441653

There's other reasons why someone might buy an EV. I think they're more fun to drive.

>>15441691

But I don't like gas motors as much as electric motors.

Please don't be mean. :(

>>15441747

I hope you can get one soon. EVs are great.

>>15441764

Toyota has one and Honda is going to release one soon.

>I think they're more fun to drive.

Oh boy I sure do love fwd econoboxes with 90hp
>>
>>15441870
a proper electric sport-car would be nice but it would have to be made by anybody but tesla.
The only problem is that it would have like 100 km range if we are lucky unless they make a proper electric muscle car.
>>
>>15437773
no ev dealerships or charging stations anywhere nearby
I would consider a cyclecar but only for use in town
>>
>>15441884

I like Tesla cars.

>>15441915

The way the power is applied is what makes them so fun to drive for me. It's linear and seemingly instantaneous. The feedback is expected, like how a page scrolls on a phone at the same rate of the speed of a finger swiping it. It's an experience that can only be most appreciated first hand. I find even the least powerful EVs are more fun than a gas powered equivalent. I think everyone should experience an electric vehicle.

>>15441969

I'm anticipating the reveal of the successor to the Tesla Roadster.

>>15441976

I think as the popularity of EVs grows, so will the amount of charging stations.

Do you have any pictures of it?
>>
no manual = cuck
>>
>>15443524

Automatic transmissions are faster. :)
>>
Until EVs can make a 300+ mile one way trip with out needing a charge and can seat 6 and luggage comfortably, then, no, I'll stick with my van.

Once an EV can do the above, I'll think about it.
>>
>>15438520

My dad has one. He's burned maybe two tanks of gas since he bought it in 2013.

It's pretty nice, but impossible to see out of.

>>15443524

Manual electric cars exist, at least as conversions.
>>
>>15443636

Tesla has a trim level of the Model S with 300 miles of range. It can seat 7 with the available rear facing child seats. It has a cargo volume of 26.3 cu ft with the rear seats up, and 58.1 cu ft with the rear seats down.
>>
>>15443674

Does it have the available back-up camera? The lack of rear visibility isn't an issue for me because of it.
>>
>>15443534
meme
>>
>>15443699

youyou
>>
>>15443692
Maybe when I retire my van, I'll look at where EVs are.
>Maybe then there will be an electric van out.
>>
>>15443698

Yeah it does, I didn't know it was optional.

Also, that thing is a torque monster. Dayum.
>>
>>15437773
There isn't one I like (design) and they don't offer anything that makes it worth driving a car I don't like the looks of.
>>
>>15437773
Two of the major selling points for EVs are their low operating cost, and their durability. Most EVs on the market fail on both accounts. The model S has tons issues that make me seriously doubt the car's capacity to hit 500k.

The model 3, like every new product, is going to be plagued by serious mechanical issues for the first couple of years. Short of those 2, no other car on the market can go 250 miles in a day, which is something I do several times a month for work.
>>
>>15443813
Oh and no forward instrument cluster on the model 3. Fuck that noise.

No ventilated seats on a Model S either.
>100,000 dollar car without ventilated seats in the 2016
>>
>>15437773
I don't want one
>>
>>15443824
>>100,000 dollar car without ventilated seats in the 2016
I know right? A $30,000 car has ventilated front and rear.
>>
>>15437773
I live in a shit third world country
>>
>>15437773
No money, and no place (garage, carport, etc.) to plug it in.
