Good cars, only issues are weak cooling systems and rust.

Automatic gearboxes will give issues if the fluid isn't changed, but that's really is outside of wear and tear.

Not sure where you are in the world, but some Americans say parts are expensive there. I am in Europe and they are very cheap and everywhere.

Rust, dents, tire condition, past repairs. Some of these take a lot of motor oil so check for leaks etc.

Don't forget to checkout the rubber around the windows, water can infiltrate underneath
