Essentially nails it. Find out the intervals to replace:
Fuel Filter
Transmission fluid (If you have an auto)
Gear oil (If you have a manual)
Differential Fluid

>Fuel Filter
manual says maintenance free item
>Gear oil (If you have a manual)
says to inspect every 15k miles
>Differential Fluid
ctrl-f'ing the pdf can't find the word "differential"
the manual has a humongous list of things to inspect. what can i safely ignore and what should i inspect?
it also says to replace the air cleaner filter every 30k, more frequently if driving in dusty conditions. it doesn't specify the interval for the dusty conditions and i drive on a dirt road every day.
this is just a shitbox that i want to last for as long as possible. with the goal of spending as little money as possible in mind over the life of the car, what maintenance should i be doing and what can i put off?

another question: where can i buy wholesale amounts of engine oil cheap?
>>15429756
Use a FRAM air filter
If you have a high mileage car, you might want to consider replacing the shocks.
My 1998 explorer shocks were pretty much worthless at 220k miles. 3 out of 4 had completely failed and I didn't even know it till I took them out. The ride quality with new shocks was night and day.
