You can't use the rear if you have to put down a foot to stop
Front brake is quite often overkill
If you lose the rear it's dejavu, if you lose the front it's rip in pasta

Also, make sure you're at least putting enough pressure on a brake to light up your brake light for visibility, especially if you're first at a stop and whatever's behind you hasn't come to a complete stop yet. Sometimes you won't really 'need' the brakes since engine braking is enough, but yeah. Signal your intentions.

I was riding my Honda shadow spirit and it completely died on me while riding, going about 40mph. The engine went silent and I pulled over. The ignition tries but the engine won't turn over. This is the second time it's happened. I had the spark plugs replaced two weeks ago and I thought that fixed the problem.

I am currently stuck on the side of the road waiting for AAA to tow me to the shop. I just want to get an idea of what could be wrong before I get to the mechanic.

I live in NYC and would like to ride a standard or a naked.

Before I decided this, i was looking for a motorcycle can turn into a State Route machine based on an old standard or newer sport standard . Except now that I broke up with my girlfriend (who didn't like bikes or me riding them) i want a bike I can put a qt3.1 4 on the back and still have fun.

My current bike is a VFR750F. I was thinking about getting a Superhawk 996, but then I looked into the Kawasaki ZRX1100/1200, Suzuki's Bandit (Hella simple air-cooled engine, that's a nice plus I think), Honda 919 and 599, and the old school Kawasaki Zeypher (?) Series.

All have their pros and cons. I'd love to get something that's fuel injected for once.

Do any of you have any input or suggestions, /dbt/?
