Buy a headlight restoration kit and follow the instructions carefully.

Looks like you scrubbed the shit out of them and didn't polish them up.

Is there anyway this can be reverted? It looks pretty bad. Doesn't come off at all, and was left in the sun for a few hours.

Not at all. Again I wasn't there for the whole process. I tried rubbing it off with a rag for a while, nothing came off.

Yes it's reversible. worst case scenario is you buy new lenses.

Try to use some polishing compound, if that doesn’t work, start the whole process od sanding it down with some 600, 1000, 1500 and then 2000 grit wet sandpaper.

I find its easier to do wih the headlight off the car.

I appreciate the responses. I'll look into it. It just was shocking to find it like this. I just replaced the lights on this vehicle as well. If I have to i'll buy new lenses if this doesn't work.

Can you scrape it with your fingernail? If all else fails, get a lense buffer kit from Wal-Mart/other. I use meguiars with the sanding pads that come in the kit. Takes 20 minutes about. Find some blue painters tape to cover around the lense. Cordless drill for the buff compound and a bottle of warm water is all you need.
