Hey /o/, what do you think of the 135i and 135is coupe? I've been considering it for my next car. On paper it seems pretty good
>3.0 twin or single turbocharged inline 6 with direct injection
>306 hp 300 lb ft for the 135i
>320 hp 317 lb ft for the 135is
>4.8 second 0-60 for the 6 speed manual
>~3350 lb curb weight
>30 mpg
Unfortunately it has no LSD but other than that it seems like a pretty fun car with some tuning potential
Spiritual successor to the first high power 3 Series models now that the real 3 Series has become a miserably fat bucket.

The lack of an LSD is a big deal if you want to increase power. 335 guys know this all too well.

That special double turbo sounds like something that is just waiting to fail and is gonna be super pricey to replace.
Other than that it's the only beamer I'd be willing to buy right now.

Shitty car with no dipstick.

>special double turbo
>beamer
Go be stupid somewhere else.
>>15359113
nice cars, my wife bought her boyfriend one

It has a turbine with a double mechanism for variable pressure depending on revs or whatnot. Go eat shit.

exactly what I thought

I'm sure there are aftermarket options, right? Or differentials from other BMWs that could be swapped in?
>>15359181
this doesn't really bother me that much

Sure there are, but there's no cheap way of doing it, I haven't seen anyone do it for less than a thousand dollars.
The 1 series coupe is a great car, its pretty heavy for what it is, infact it is slightly heavier than the e46. Really nice interior, and mine has been faultless in the 9 months I have owned it. I have the M-Sport option with the firmer suspension, however it is still fairly compliant and handles pretty well.
I've only got the 123d twin turbo diesel (200hp stock but tuned to 270hp and 510Nm of torque) and that is a really fun car to drive so I would imagine a 135i of any guise would be amazing.
>>15359246
That's not too bad really
>>15359256
Nice car anon. What kind of mods did you do to up the power? Just a tune?
>>15359325
Thanks, that was taken after I had clay barred and polished it
Just a basic remap, because it's a diesel tuned for economy the factory tune is really conservative for economy. It means even a basic remap has large gains. I also average 40mpg even on pretty short journeys. Shame you don't get this engine in the US, its got so much torque for such a small motor its great fun
