Anyone here DD a car with a heavy aftermarket clutch?
How bad is it?
Is it doable if u just put it in neutral more often instead of holding the clutch in?
Does ur left leg get mad gains?
>>
did it once, a subaru came with one heavy nasty grabby clutch when a bought it.
DID NOT ENJOY IT AT ALL

My impreza has one of the heaviest clutches I've ever felt, bought it like that so I dunno what brand it is.
>>
Daily drove a fox mustang with a spec stage 3, it sucked but was doable. The worst part about most high performance clutches is the engagement, especially if you have something with a light flywheel and not alot of torque, prepare for looking like a fool at stoplights

I dailied a 4 puck unsprung. clutch pedal was light, but that engagement. ended up only lasting 2 season.

unless your are increasing your power, stick with a regular OEM replacement clutch, nothing too fancy.

torque makes any car better. thats a given.
yes fuck that on off feeling.
a twin plate is better than a heavy ass pressure plate always.

I have a 9 puck sprung ceramic/metallic clutch that is rated for like 500hp in my DD, it's not bad. It's a little grabby, the engagement is stepped, and if you slip it it sometimes shudders. It's not bad though. I'm not making anywhere near enough power to need this kind of clutch, but the kevlar clutches tend to cook with the slipping involved in drag launches and I when I build a new engine that does make enough power to need it, I already have it.

> Heavy clutch
Used to.
> Aftermarket
No, stock.
> How bad
It's fine holding it in, but pushing it down is the hard part.
> Mad gains
No, because I exercise like a normal person already.

> Heavy aftermarket clutch
WHY? Slows your gear changes, weighs the car down.
>>
I already daily my Subaru with its heavy-ass aftermarket clutch. I actually like it. All other clutches feel too sloppy for me now
