I know it's not the same but I went from a 98 Civic Ex (5speed), to a 13 Frs (6speed).

I have this years EX-L and I love it. I hadn't taken notice of them until my 08 Crown Vic died from having eggs shoved in the tank by a crazy cat lady in my old apartments, but once I saw it I knew I wanted it.

Two of my coworkers bought 2016 Civic's a month later. One an LX and the other an EX-T. The latter was going to buy a BRZ originally.

The BRZ is very nice as well. I'd say if you want RWD, get the BRZ, if you want FWD, get the Civic.
