Very first day was class day on Thursday, which was a lot of basic common sense shit and stuff you end up learning as a small car driver. Very little motorcycle specific stuff until the end when the instructor flew through everything. Cool british guy though. Mine was held at the Everett Powersports but they also hold the classes at the main WMST building down the street I think

Today was first on-bike day though, went pretty well and was fairly basic. Lots of clutch work finding the friction point and changing gears/starting off stopping. Some of the bikes aren't in the best of conditions, I ended up swapping bikes twice; the first wouldn't come out of first gear and the second was having carb issues. Only one guy dropped his bike, and he needed constant coaching/extra practice during breaks. He'll still probably pass I'm betting. They're also pretty hard on making sure you 4 finger brake even though it's low speed/california stopping. Overall fun experience(from a nobike with little experience) but based on the class and course so far, I'm really feeling like I should have just taken the advanced course to cut out the common sense/never ridden a bicycle basic/how2manualtransmission stuff.

The amount of money people are willing to throw out for those things is incredible. The owner of those bikes told me when he went to get the '40 restored he met the guy at a swap meet in Ohio, the bike looked like it had been on the Titanic, it had sat for over 40 years and was rusted to pieces. When do you guys do your riding?

Besides my daily commute, I've been going completely ham on weekend mornings between 6AM-8AM.

Honestly, I would like to start even a little bit earlier - perhaps around 5AM.

Nothings been going my way, I keep getting headaches and I've been semi depressed after the fact.
I feel like such a burden to some of my work friends for asking for rides and shit.
I'm back to square one again and everything is just hard without MY OWN transportation.

I was really contemplating on being a hasbike year-round. And I've got enough so its not so bad so I'm able to buy whatber I need. The possibilities cheer me up but I'm still immobile and that harsh reality is fucking my days up.
