At what speed does countersteering start to work?

I'm fresh out of bike school and I still do the thing where I slow down to 20kmh max going into turns, but I'd like to go fast, not hold up city traffic.

Anything faster than about 10kph is countersteering. If you are 'leaning' the bike in a turn instead of being upright and physically turning the bars, you're countersteering.

Don't overthink countersteering, you learned how to do it when you're but a wee lad on your bicycle. People do it without realizing it, it's muscle memory.

Turning a motorcycle is an art form its'elf but a typical, untalented motorcyclist should be able to corner around in traffic as quickly as an unhurried car can.

Watch Twist of the Wrist 2 on youtube. It's corny acting but it goes into the science behind countersteering/ motorcycle handling and goes into the preferred methods of cornering at speed.

I wear wrinkle-free shirts if I have to be shirt-and-tie, the wrinkles fall right out of the good ones. Most of the time I wear polo shirts, though. I have some from Lands End that are really T-shirts with collars.

I wear overpants, but I havn't found any I really like yet. Either too bulky or hard to get on-off. But they keep the pants clean.
