Except those "minor fixes" fixed almost all of the reliability issues and made them much easier to take care of. Reliability of 03-05s is the only real issue. Even a 2006 has the ignition coil problem mostly repaired.
They make aftermarket coils that fix it completely.
If you put on a racing beat exhaust (especially with the race pipe) you will also fix most if not all of the overheating problems, and gain a little power on top of that.
