Maybe others can be less passive and participate in the organization and setup, where choices of meeting spot are made. But people who never show up, but keep saying a meet should be here, or a meet should be there, well, those are insincere opinions as Meets go. Meets are for those who show up. They aren't for those who think it should be over at some spot and then those people still don't show up.

Despite my love for food, meeting fellow /o/tists and driving with them is what makes the meets worth it. Where folks eat shouldn't be an issue.

That said, let's try and be somewhat civil with each other. We have more upcoming meets this summer, and possibly other outings if people are cool enough with each other.

I don't live with them but my parents are taking a week-long vacation and I'm to house-sit. I might wanna invite folks over to chill, drink, play vidya on all the tvs and hang around (no touge nearby, sadly). It's gonna be hard to do if we have folks fighting over dumb shit though.

I think what you're looking for is "lateral grip" and "traction at launch". We amerifats don't explicitly differentiate grip and traction like the Britbongs do. (Had to google to see if anyone else uses this definition) It makes sense in retrospect but it still sounds weird out of context.

grip is the amount of force your tires can put down before you lose traction. that's all. it gets split into lateral vs linear grip

lateral grip increases the amount of steering input you can put down without losing traction. linear grip is for launching in straight lines, where steering input is irrelevant. wider tires increase lateral grip and decrease linear grip because of how the contact patch changes size

you either have traction or you don't have it, the amount of grip you have determines whether you lose traction or not
