hey /o/
just a quick question. my buddy just got a car and his tires need to be replaced.
they measure 175/65/14
now i picked up a set of 185/65/14 they should have no problems fitting and what not correct? given the same profile and diameter?
thanks
They're just wider, shouldn't have any problems fitting them.

13mm taller too.

just out the same size back on. you never know if the tires will rub

normally i would however these are free so im willign to take the risk if he is lol
while on the topic how do i tell if the tires are still good?
they seem to be in okay shape they aren't faded no side wall damage but i dont know what car they came off of, my dad grabbed them from a friend
did you fall for the mexican tire shop meme
bonus points if they said those tires you bought were only available used

they were spares off my dad's friend's already sold car so he just took them for free. so im passing them on to my buddy if they're usable

What kind of car bud?

no idea what they came off of. but they're going on a 8th gen corolla.

Then you'll be fine with the tire size.

Check the date of manufacture. Anything after like 7 years old is too old. Some people even say anything older than 5 is too much

I agree with this. Just because it has tread does not always mean it should be used on roadways. Check for any dry rotting or cracking in the sidewalls.
